The Toltec Center of Creative Intent ~ Austin

Heather Ash Amara
Heather Ash Amara is the founder and spiritual director of Toci, the Toltec Center of Creative Intent. Toci is a non-profit organization here in Austin that is dedicated to fostering a thriving local and global community, which supports authenticity. Heather Ash Amara weaves practices from several shamanic traditions that support each individual in manifesting their highest potential. She apprenticed under shamanic healer Vicki Noble in 1991. Then in 1994, she apprenticed with and taught extensively with don Miguel Ruiz author of The Four Agreements, before founding the Toltec Center of Creative Intent in 2001. Heather Ash has facilitated hundreds of workshops and fire walks over the past fifteen years, and she is also the Author of several books.

Last week Heather Ash was talking with us about how our beliefs about ourselves and our lives affect our health. This week I am happy Heather Ash is willing to share about a subject that has been quite the buzz in many circles, online, and in many other forms of media. That "event" is in regards to the Mayan calendar and the year 2012. I have seen and heard many apocalypse type stories regarding the year 2012, but that is not the story told by Mayan elders and other Indigenous teachers. I feel it is important to share this information and help dispel some of the fear and negative stories associated with the end of the Mayan Calendar that are going around. The elders say that this time is a shift from the Fifth Sun a to the sixth sun;  the ushering in of a new energy, one of more open hearted-ness and compassion. Our job is to be attuned to this energy and help to bring in a new age where we can create a better vision or dream for our lives, communities and planet. The question is will you participate in creating this new dream???

To find out more about Heather Ash Amara and the Toltec Center for Creative Intent you can go to: www.toci.org They have a fabulous website with many videos and articles as well as upcoming programs. It's a wonderful place to hang out and get inspired to do your inner work!
